ABOUT OLUWADARA BENSON

Oluwadara is a highly motivated Quantitative Software Engineer. I am deeply fascinated by the concept of investment, and I would like to apply my mathematical abilities to a career in Quantitative Finance.Ever since I was a child, I have had a natural aptitude for mathematics. I am so good, you\'d be surprised if I wasn\'t an engineer. My passion for quantitative finance stems from my desire to model risks into the valuation of financial instruments. I am thrilled at the prospect of conducting research, analyzing, building and designing models that will reduce financial exposure to risk and secure fund portfolios.Thus far, I have excelled academically: I graduated with a first-class studying Aeronautical Engineering, I was recently awarded the Dean\'s Prize for the best Postgraduate Dissertation at the Essex Business School, where I studied Financial Engineering and Risk Management. I have practical insights into how stochastic interest rates and additional financial risks affect valuations. I have an excellent command of programming languages such as C++ 11/14/17/20, SQL, MATLAB and Python. As a student, I undertook some C++ projects to demonstrate my coding skills; I have tutored Eight (8) College students in Mathematics, and all Eight passed their IGCSE exams. Similarly, as an investment banking intern, I used Excel to develop financial models and assessed the effectiveness of established operational risk management control.I am open to Graduate and Entry Level Quant Finance Roles.
