ABOUT BEN SOMERS
I have always been practical. From a young age, I spent my free time building full-scale medieval and Roman siege weapons from designs found online - earning me a scholarship at 12 years old. A combination of this practical predisposition and my slight obsession to exercise led me to the construction industry, and while working in the demolition industry in Australia, my passion for Sustainability was born. This lead me to pursue a degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management, and subsequently, set up my construction business to offer sustainable construction projects. Following this, I took up a position at Nova Structures, an innovative modular construction company, to help to contribute to innovation within the UK the construction industry.Now working in consultancy, I have brought my practical experience in construction, my drive to deliver sustainable and innovative outcomes and personable nature to assist stakeholders in the built environment on a Regional and National scale.Through my progression I have discovered that I am driven to work with like minded people who strive to innovate and create meaningful change.
