ABOUT BEN SMITH
I\'m a producer, director and writer with 15 years experience producing animated films. I graduated Bradford University in 1996 with a degree in Electronic Imaging and following stints at FrameStore and Image Animation, in 2004 I set up Red Star 3D with Jan Rogowski to produce animated content for visitor attractions such as theme parks and museums, as well for animation for TV commercials, corporate and online. We\'ve now produced over a dozen films which have shown in hundred of venues and won dozens of awards around the world. I\'m a dedicated visual storyteller, specialising in developing film projects that combine action, comedy and heart to engage and entertain audiences; as both a writer director and as a writer. Along with Jan Rogowski I\'m also a resourceful producer, managing the creative elements of production, working with artists and facilities and dealing effectively with distributors and customers. I am currently developing my first animated feature film project based on an award-winning short.
