The ELAC E is a completely new primary flight control computer for the A320 family NEOs and XLR aircraftMy responsibilities include:Supplier technical steering (Thales Avionics), in particular during equipment qualification phase and core software development. Analysis and acceptance of findings from environmental (mechanical, thermal, lightning, EMC/HIRF, SEUs,…) or electrical tests results, based on operational and safety effects at aircraft level.Inspection of specification, development and validation process by our supplier, based on DO 160, 254 and 178 norms, aiming at the flight safety clearance of the equipment for flight test, European Aviation Safety Agency certification and airline deliveries.Update of computer’s technical specification, related to hardware and software aspects.Laboratory and flight tests definition and results’ analysis to validate safe and mature integration of new computer in aircraft, ensuring operational performance at aircraft level is similar or better compared to current computer generation, starting from aircraft manufacturing phase until computer’s end of life.Definition, follow-up and validation of new software specification method.Definition, follow-up, high-level debug and validation of desktop simulation tool to validate software changes on this computer.Test and design backlog management. Coordination with multiple technical and management teams, including flight control law designers, aircraft structural loads specialists, programme and project managers to ensure minimal costs and delay to the project.
