For DB Engineering & Consulting as part of the DB AG Netz. Lead the European & African business unit with focus on delivering excellence in railways engineering & consulting activities including management, planning, sales as well as delivery of engineering services for infrastructure and rolling stock transport projects. P&L responsible from acquisition stage down to test & commissioning as well as shadow operation. Focus clients are public legal entities, national and private railway companies, regional and municipal transport operators, industrial undertakings, private investors, national and international financing institutions. The major tasks and duties of the director are- Formulation of policy and strategy of business unit- Planning and implementation of sales strategy with customer retention and development- Recruiting, managing, training and motivation of direct reporting staff according to company procedures, agreed budgets, policy and employment law- Selection & management of external partners, including joint venture with related board member duties and accountabilities- Management of all business reporting P&L including projects executions reviews with direct reporting to the board of directors- Execution of responsibilities of a company director according to lawful and ethical standards.Achievements: Order Intake, Turnover and Profit above targets, Change Management of regional setups and related successful implementation of core countries strategies. Personal retention and sickness rates better than all over business units.
