ABOUT BENOIT PARMENTIER

Hello! I am a Data Scientist, ML Engineer and Geospatial Scientist. I currently work at AccuWeather where I help in various modeling efforts involving AI, weather and geospatial data. Throughout the years, I worked on a variety of projects involving computer vision modeling (e.g. detecting boat with SAR satellite imagery, precipitation, lightning), text modeling and weather datasets. I developed many Earth Observation processing pipelines and helped resolve many geospatial and data customer issues. I frequently acted as a point person in data and ML Engineering in various company. I was also a team lead for a few years at Premise and mentored many team members. I like to keep myself up to date and learn new things. While being an applied data scientist in the private sector, I am a scientist and still actively involved in research. CORE EXPERTISE1.
