About Ben McNeely
I have been practicing journalism in some form or fashion since I was 14 years old (that\'s damn near 30 years now!), and found my passion and mission as an undergraduate at NC State University. I have experience in print, broadcast, and digital journalism. I returned to NC State from Spectrum News 1, where I served as the producer of Capital Tonight, a nightly statewide program on politics and policy. Before that, I was a reporter and online editor for the Independent Tribune in Concord and Kannapolis, NC, and was news editor for The Stokes News in King, NC. I received a bachelor’s degree in English from NC State in 2005, and served as managing editor of Technician. I was a founding board member of Little Raleigh Radio, a community non-profit that teaches volunteer content creators how to make radio and podcasts.
