ABOUT BENNY SAMRAJ LINDA
I am a Master’s student in Automotive Engineering at RWTH Aachen, building on a strong foundation from IIT Madras (B.Tech, Mechanical Engineering, 2023). Over the past two years, I have worked in research and development at SEDEMAC Mechatronics, Pune, where I focused on powertrain controls for both electric and ICE two-wheelers.During this time, I contributed to projects that helped India’s #2 EV OEM improve vehicle range, efficiency, and reliability. My experience spans motor controls, drive mode calibration, MATLAB/Simulink development, diagnostics, and EMI-EMC testing. What excites me most is the challenge of translating complex control strategies into real-world improvements in vehicle performance and user experience.My academic and professional interests include vehicle dynamics, control of automotive systems, mechatronics, and thermal engineering. Looking ahead, I’m passionate about shaping the future of sustainable mobility through engineering innovation.Outside of engineering, I enjoy video editing, animation, and graphic design. At IITM TV, the student media body of IIT Madras, I led a creative team to produce media projects — an experience that strengthened my leadership, teamwork, and editing skills.
