About Benny Cope

Growing up as an outdoor recreationalist, I developed a deep care for our environment, which initially felt at odds with my desire to pursue a career in the AEC industry. As an early career structural designer, I chose to change this irony into an opportunity by actively involving myself in industry-wide sustainability efforts, like SE2050. I have a passion for learning about and contributing to socially and environmentally responsible designs and it is my goal to grow my career towards this exact work.In 2022, I began helping spearhead ZFA Structural Engineers\' commitment to SE2050 and am primarily engaged with performing life cycle assessments for structural systems and delivering internal presentations on sustainability. I am also apart of ZFA’s DEI committe, focused on fostering inclusion in the office and participating in outreach efforts.
