Bennett Secrest is the Chief Operating Officer at Creative Management Technology, Inc.(“CMTI”). Prior to joining CMTI, he practiced finance and corporate law, exemplifying a proven track record of advising companies on strategic growth, financial planning, and risk management. In the Atlanta office of Adams & Reese, Bennett developed a strong background in corporate governance, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and complex fund structures. Through his experience working with startup communities in Tallahassee and Atlanta, Bennett gained a deep understanding of the financial and operational challenges faced by growth-centric companies. He has advised clients through key stakeholder negotiations, strategic structuring, equity incentive initiatives, venture financing, and asset protection, providing valuable insights into the financial aspects of business operations.Bennett’s background in tax consulting, having worked in “Big 4” accounting and consulting, has equipped him with expertise in business taxation and complex organizational structuring and operations. This experience has given him a unique perspective on financial planning, tax strategy, and risk management. Well-integrated into the Atlanta business community, Bennett has built a strong network of relationships that enable him to effectively serve his clients. His professional affiliations include national, state, and local Bar Associations as well as the Atlanta chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. Through his professional affiliations and networking memberships, Bennett stays up to date on the latest developments and best practices in his field. With his extensive network, work experience, and educational background – including an M.B.A. and J.D. from Florida State University and a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Mississippi – Bennett possesses a strong foundation in finance, law, and business.
