About Bennett Marcotte

As a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I have a background in economics and econometrics. As an economics major, I held an internship with the Royal Bank of Scotland as a Risk Control Intern. Currently, I am honing my business skills by pursuing a master’s degree in business analytics and project management from the University of Connecticut School of Business. I have always been a numbers person, with exceptional mathematics and computer skills. I am fluent in several data management systems and software, including Excel, Stata, SQL, JMP, Tableau, R, and Python. Data preprocessing, data visualizations, and predictive modeling are strong points in my skill set. While I enjoy data manipulation, it is the analysis of data that gets me excited. I like to explore the relationships between numbers and translate digits and spreadsheets into business appropriate stories. In the age of big data and better data collection, these stories become actionable solutions and strategies for businesses, and I take pride in my ability to make data accessible to both executive decision-makers and frontline sales staff.
