Mission focussed: Turning science and technology into operational advantage. I am a Senior Leader, with 25 years experience in the international defence and security sector. Excelling in relationship management; I apply judgment in ambiguity, critical thinking and drive to deliver business and organisational growth. Honed interpersonal skills and an empathetic leader, I build engaged and loyal high-performing teams through empowerment, coaching and mutual respect. With a background in maritime operations, including aviation, ship command and autonomy, I work for the high-end engineering and technology Frazer-Nash Consultancy, helping our brilliant engineers solve some of the most complex problems in the maritime. Passionate about putting people at the heart of technology transformation, my motto is \'turn science into capability\'. using/re-using R&D to accelerate technology into the hands of the warfighter.I am also passionate about the power of education to unite people, having had a transformational experience at the United World College of the Atlantic in the 1990s. I am now helping on the Philanthropy Engagements and Partnerships Committee, to ensure that finances are no barrier to education, and helping to prepare the future changemakers to operate within todays complicated and interconnected world.
