I am a seasoned leader who has executed projects of all sizes for government and commercial clients. I currently oversee and manage all aspects of OptTek’s business.I have extensive experience solving complex problems where I have designed and implemented software that embeds state-of-the-art approaches from the fields of mathematical modeling, real-time optimization, artificial intelligence and machine learning, agent-based and discrete-event simulation, and simulation optimization.I earned a Ph.D. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and have taught at the Peter Kiewit Institute at the University of Nebraska and at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. I am the author of numerous journal articles and book chapters and hold multiple patents related to software and optimization.I enjoy leading teams that provide innovative software solutions to complex real-world problems.Specialties: simulation optimization, optimization software and services, mathematical modeling, artificial intelligence and machine learning, data analysis, transportation and scheduling problems, agent-based and discrete-event simulation.
