About Benjamin Randall
I work for Colorado State University University Advancement, supporting strategic storytelling alongside Tosha Jupiter and a talented University Advancement and Alumni Association team. My work focuses on translating research, impact, and institutional mission into compelling narratives across platforms, including AlumLine, Gratitude, and Around the Oval.Previously, I supported science communication and outreach efforts with the Colorado Water Center, National Park Service, and USDA Forest Service, and served as a lead instructor and graduate teaching assistant in CSU’s Journalism and Media Communication department. In recognition of that work, I was named CSU’s 2024 Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year.I completed my M.S. in Journalism & Media Communication at CSU in May 2025. My thesis, Navigating Nutritional Norms, examined how social influence and communication shape food behaviors among collegiate male distance runners, bridging psychology, nutrition, and sport.Outside of work, I’m a Fulbright Scholar, professional triathlete, and proud dog dad to Mable. I’ve placed top 20 in four Ironman 70.3 races, finished 11th overall at Boulder 70•••25), and won the 2023 Colorado Marathon in a course-record 2:24. I plan to compete professionally at multiple Ironman 70.3 events in 2026.

Since August, I have worked with the Colorado Water Center at CSU to develop and implement strategic communications that effectively connect key audiences with critical water issues. My work includes researching and writing water-focused content for digital marketing channels and managing outreach efforts. Additionally, I represent CoWC at campus and community events, sharing water-related insights and resources with stakeholders.I have had the opportunity to collaborate with respected water experts, including Brad Udall and Pat Mulroy, and will soon be working with Perry Cabot.
