I\'ve volunteered for VLAB since 2007 on event teams and serve with the Sponsorship committee. The MIT/Stanford Venture Lab (VLAB) is the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the growth and success of high-tech entrepreneurial ventures by connecting ideas, technology and people. We provide a forum for San Francisco and Silicon Valley\'s leading entrepreneurs, industry experts, venture capitalists, private investors and technologists to exchange insights about how to effectively grow high-tech ventures amidst dynamic market risks and challenges. In a world where markets change at breakneck speed, knowledge is a critical source of competitive advantage. Our forums provide an excellent opportunity to network and learn about pivotal business issues, emerging industries and the latest technologies. Social Entrepreneurship: Making Money By Doing Good 5/11 Business of the Brain 5/10 - Special entrepreneurial panelist \"Mythbuster\" Jamie Hyneman. Biofuel Event 2/10 - set the ticket sale record for a Life Sciences program. Event attended by Congressman Jerry Moran of Kansas. Mobile Money Event 10/09 (team member)- was the fastest to ever, to sell out. Predictive Analytics - Sold out February Event and secured the presenting company BlueKai\'s CEO Omar Tawakol as a panelist in addition to securing Tagged event sponsorship. Team members regularly research, interview and combine leaders in hot new areas to be panelists and presenters and handle all event organization from marketing and ticket sales to post event wrap-up.
