About Benjamin Hunt

With over 11 years of experience as a licensed educator and administrator, I am passionate about enabling and motivating students through inquiry-based learning and curriculum design. I currently serve as the Assistant Principal for Academic Development at Mount Notre Dame High School, where I collaborate with the administrative team to guide policy and oversee the growth and safety of all students. In my role, I also oversee the academic environment for students and teachers, including academic scheduling, curriculum development, and coaching/observation for teachers. I lead various teacher teams, such as the Response to Intervention (RTI) team and the OCSAA accreditation steering committee. Additionally, I have driven the expansion of college credit opportunities through Advanced Placement and College Credit Plus, allowing students to earn college credit through 20 AP and 12 CCP courses. I have also presented at national and state conferences on topics such as using local newspapers and primary sources to engage student inquiry in American history. As an Assistant Principal, I strive to foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration at Mount Notre Dame.
