About Benjamin Kang
As a Process Engineer at LG Energy Solution, I have the unique opportunity to lay the foundations for scaling up from start-up to mass production of cylindrical battery cells. I will be working with Production and Equipment team members to ensure the uniform installation of equipment and troubleshoot during initial setup.Prior to joining LG, I spent 2 years as a Production Engineer at Ultium Cells. In this role, I optimized cathode/anode production lines to increase yield and OEE, and prevent quality issues downstream. As a fluent Korean speaker, I communicated with OEMs and FSEs to develop new programs/autonomous controls and worked with ISEs to eliminate communication gaps and train production team members on new processes.My goal is to pursue a career in the battery industry, where I can contribute to the development and innovation of sustainable and efficient energy solutions. I am passionate about learning new technologies and skills, and I am always eager to take on new challenges and opportunities.
