About Benjamin Zamora
Benjamin, who was born and raised in El Paso, has been passionate about journalism ever since he was a kid. He studied journalism and advanced communications at Riverside Career and Technical Center and graduated in 2010. Before returning to his roots in Texas, Benjamin started his career as a news correspondent for KVMD Los Angeles in Guadalajara, Mexico, he then spent nearly three years as news reporter and executive producer for KTDO in El Paso, later on he was hired as Multimedia Journalist for KTSM NewsChannel 9 and KDBC. Benjamin also worked at El Paso\'s number one station Univision 26 KINT. He became Executive Producer in 2014 and was promoted in 2015 to Regional Assistant News Director to oversee El Paso, Midland-Odessa and San Angelo DMA\'s. He is currently the News Anchor for Noticiero Telemundo Las Vegas and has more than 4.1 million followers on his Tiktok News Channel. During his career, Benjamin has been privileged enough to interview Presidential Candidate Ron Paul, Senator Bernie Sanders, Governor Rick Perry, Chihuahua Governor Cesar Duarte and mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. His work has given him multiple awards such as an EMMY® for best general assignment on-camera talent reporter in Texas, an EMMY® for Best Health Investigation Report, an EMMA award for best informational story and 11 EMMY® nominations in the Lone Star Chapter and the National Pacific Southwest Chapter. His stories have also been featured on NBC News, NBC Latino and MSN.
