The driving force behind my work is an unwavering sense of love—for the mission, the students, and the communities we serve.Presently, I am an Assistant Principal at Benjamin Banneker Academic High School in Washington, DC. My earlier role as the Founding Principal of Ron Brown College Preparatory High School is a testament to my dedication to transformative education. This groundbreaking institution, the first all-male high school in Washington, DC, was established in 2016 and garnered attention through its portrayal in an NPR series titled \"Raising Kings,\" as well as various other media outlets.I have spent my career serving as a Special Education Aide, Social Studies Teacher, Social Studies Department Chair, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, Associate Principal, and Principal in Charlottesville, VA, Albemarle County, VA, Newark, NJ, and Washington, DC. I was one of four recipients of the 20••••15 Rubenstein Leadership Award for outstanding performance as an Associate Principal in DC Public Schools. My academic pursuits have significantly developed my expertise, with a Bachelor of Arts, a Master’s of Secondary Education, a Doctorate of Philosophy in Leadership and Administration from the University of Virginia, and an Executive Masters in Leadership from Georgetown University\'s McDonough Business School all contributing to my multifaceted skill set.As I continue to shape the educational landscape, my focus remains unwavering: to cultivate transformative learning environments that empower students, embrace diversity, and foster a lifelong love for learning.
