Hi, I’m Benjamin (Ben) Weinstein, an Honours Mathematics student at the University of Waterloo.I’m passionate about building software end-to-end, from high-performance CLI tools in Rust to interactive web applications with TypeScript and React. My work spans machine learning, data analysis, and full-stack web development.Some highlights- Developed a high-accuracy SMS Spam Detection model (Naive Bayes & Logistic Regression) with 97% accuracy and compared to human performance- Built an interactive cryptography visualizer using Rust + WebAssembly for RSA, Diffie-Hellman, AES, SHA-256, and discrete logarithms- Created a Terminal Email Client and Executable Markdown Processor, optimized for performance and usability- Contributed to web applications including my personal site and the Watonomous team site using Next.js, React, and Tailwind- Organized events with 50-100 attendees for the UW Computer Science Club, including with companies such as Citadel and Stripe.I enjoy solving challenging problems, experimenting with new technologies, and building tools that are both efficient and user-friendly.Feel free to explore my projects or contact me for collaboration!
