About Benjamin Weininger

I cofounded Makers Cabinet as Head of Communications. We founded this company as three co-founders, designing, manufacturing, marketing, and selling high-end drawing tools designed to last generations.We have run three successful Kickstarter and Indiegogo InDemand Crowdfunding Campaigns, and our products retail in over 25 shops worldwide. We sell directly to consumers on our e-commerce website makerscabinet.com, wholesale, and B2B as corporate gifts.I grew up in Santa Barbara, California, and moved to London in 2015. At Santa Barbara High School, I pursued academic sciences and visual media in the Visual Arts and Design Academy (VADA). I developed my style as a fine artist with inspiring mentors at three sequential mentorships with the Santa Barbara Arts Fund. My 3D design education began at the Rhode Island School of Design\'s Industrial Design summer program, followed by an internship at Jeff Shelton Architecture. After high school, I moved to London to study Product Design at Central Saint Martins. I have a Foundation Diploma and a Product Design BA (Honors) Diploma in which I received the classification of Upper Second Class Honors. We founded Makers Cabinet in our first year of the BA program and launched our third Kickstarter campaign one month after completing our degree. We recently launched our fourth Kickstarter for Ferrule, the lifetime pencil extender which we fully prototyped in-house in our new studio / workshop in East London.
