As an administrative resident in the Office of the Vice Dean, I serve mainly as a project manager for the hospital, focusing particularly on projects that further research and academia within our hospital (i.e. fellowship development, innovations, etc.). Some of my larger projects thus far have been developing infrastructure for mental health services within our general pediatric clinic, restructuring the strategy and operations of the Autism Clinic, participating in the JHACH Innovations Committee, and analyzing market data that will serve as the groundwork for future business decisions. Each of these major projects required a different scope of management – from recruitment to business plan development to financial projections to meeting with stakeholders. As a final major work area, I will also be serving as the Academic Manager for the Heart Institute. In this role, I will work to recruit physicians, onboard physicians, and provide academic support for the development of research, fellowships, and other academic needs.
