ABOUT BENJAMIN ROSEN

Cross-asset commodities sales trader and C-level executive, co-founder, director and manager with experience spanning structured financial products and physical industrial commodities. I currently lead key account sales and trading activity in the base and industrial metals markets, specializing in aluminum (primary and mid-stream) and carbon and stainless steel commodities, actively originating and executing global physical flows while managing principal, market and operational risk.My career began at J.P. Morgan in the investment banking division, where I spent 5 years developing a profound expertise in trading operations on both the vanilla credit derivative swaps and structured credit derivatives (correlation) trading desks, and building key foundational experience in complex contract and deal structuring, market-making, pricing, risk management and hedging, trade flow management, trading and arbitrage strategies, market structure, PnL management, and global client relationship management with our institutional and buy-side client portfolio.I fully leveraged this experience when I transitioned into physical commodities trading as co-founder and CEO of an industrial materials merchant trading firm, and later as the Commercial Director for a much larger merchant trading house, scaling international operations and managing full-cycle commercial strategies across industrial material commodities and, more recently, in hard commodities at AAM.I specialize in markets where physical optionality, price risk, and market structure converge—capturing value through basis trading, physical arbitrage, and optimizing market timing and logistics. I manage sales and trading with a view toward both operational execution and alpha generation, leveraging volatility, price dislocation, market inefficiencies, and strategic flexibility to drive outsized returns.This cross-asset background—from financial derivatives to hard commodities—has allowed me a unique edge in spotting opportunity and value, understanding market dislocations, and executing in volatile, fast-moving environments. I operate decisively, proactively and pragmatically across global trading platforms and supply chains to monetize opportunities where financial and physical markets intersect.
