Package Manager (Construction Delivery) @BYLOR Joint Venture

PM for Laing O\'Rourke, on the BYLOR JV at Hinkley Point C. Managing the construction delivery of a heavy civils platform directly linked to the Nuclear Island build. Manage team of Engineers, along with planners, HSE team and method engineers, to deliver the project in a safe, timely, cost effective manner. Report directly to Senior Project Manager. Work with Procurement, Commercial, Engineering, Planning and Construction teams daily to ensure delivery as above. Set/implement high level of safety and environmental behaviour whilst supervising and assisting the progress of my team. Monitor work, ensuring the team receive fair reviews periodically and obtain feedback from subordinates to ensure I am managing individuals and the project in the right manner. Review designs, drawings, specifications and schedules to ensure they contain sufficient, accurate information to construct the works, and produce RFI’s for any missing information/clarification, to allow the programme to proceed without delay. Maintain good working relations with the client and all members of site staff ensuring full understanding of information is provided at all levels. Ensure a high level of QA is maintained, ensuring ITP’s are completed as required and produce checklists to support this. Produce 4 and 16 week look ahead programmes with planners for all works and resources and monitor them, marking up progress for review at site meetings. Using look ahead programmes, produce and check RAMS, Lift Plans and Permits (as a designated TWC), ensuring all are in place in sufficient time to be checked/approved prior to works commencing. Ensure testing of any material is carried out to specification and results relayed to designers for acceptance. Attend and organise numerous client and internal meetings to ensure all parties involved are in touch with all goings on on site. Carry out many other relevant duties as required and put everything in place to deliver a project to the highest standard possible.
