About Benjamin Leisher
Life is unpredictable, and the average family is exposed to risks that they are not financially prepared to handle on their own. The actuary serves to help manage this risk, mitigating the financial fallout for the families in the event of misfortune. When choosing a career path, my top priority was to find a profession that enables me to leverage my talents and skills to make a difference in the lives of others. I draw fulfillment from being a part of something greater than myself; part of a team that seeks to provide stability and peace-of-mind to others. This is what attracted me to the actuarial profession. I strived to be an actuary due to the profession\'s human-centered focus on applied mathematics, finance, and data science; there is beauty and meaning in providing risk-management that enables our insureds to focus on their families and futures during times of personal crisis.
