My career trajectory is rare in the built environment: from a foundational five-year electrical apprenticeship to senior-level oversight of large-scale national portfolios. This technical grounding allows me to bridge the gap between commercial strategy and operational reality, ensuring that compliance and safety strategies are practical, robust, and financially viable.Currently, I specialise in navigating the high-stakes landscape of the Building Safety Act 2022. I have a proven track record of acting as the bridge between property owners and the Building Safety Regulator. I have successfully secured Building Assessment Certificates (BACs) for two different Build-to-Rent providers.Beyond safety, I am a strategic operational leader. My background includes managing complex portfolios across residential, commercial, and academic premises, with full responsibility for OpEx and CapEx budgets. I excel at directing both hard and soft FM functions, optimising PPM programs, and leading structural change across multi-site estate teams.Core Expertise- Strategic Building Safety: Leading the organisational response to reform for High-Risk Buildings (HRBs), including the development of Safety Case Reports, Resident Engagement Strategies, Regulator RFIs and Mandatory Occurrence Reporting- Operational Leadership: Managing large in-house teams (90+ staff) and overseeing capital projects using JCT contracts and applying CDM regulations- Commercial Management: Strategic oversight of large budgets and driving fiscal stability through smart procurement and lifecycle planning- Stakeholder Engagement: An articulate communicator at board and investor level, capable of translating technical risk into clear business intelligence.I am dedicated to embedding safety-first cultures that protect the asset, the resident experience, and the long-term commercial value of the portfolio.
