Technical Lead - New Product Development-Responsible for developing new and innovative products with challenging expectations in a timely manner -Brings new products from concepts to production ready designs and processes-Oversees, mentors, collaborates, and approves other engineer’s work across a multidisciplinary engineering team-Communicates results effectively and efficiently to management • Creates 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD • Performs Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Necessary Engineering Calculations (NEC) to support design-Uses SolidWorks Simulation and NASGRO to refine product design and reduce development time-Performs heat transfer calculations for design verification• Supports assembly and testing to validate products• Documents and presents Engineering Reports, including Product Reviews for inter-departmental approval• Lead refinement and cost reduction projects to improve existing products• Creates and maintains Engineering Documentation, Engineering Processes and Specifications• Designs casting, forging and machined models/drawings to reduce cost• Uses GD & T, metal fabrication processes, order of assembly, and utilization of investment tooling
