About Benjamin Jackson
I started 17 years ago at Whole Foods Market as a bagger because I loved the idea of natural, whole foods. I worked in almost every aspect of the brick and mortar retail operation for WFM - front and back of house. After working my way up to store leadership I landed a role as a Senior Workforce Planning Analyst. In this role I\'ve found that truly impactful Data Analysis requires understanding. It obligates you to be curious about the operations that you\'re analyzing. Leveraging my years of experience on the front lines of retail I have been able to grow massively as a data analyst - standing up the data against what I know goes on in every backstock area, department, and sales floor. It has helped me understand that without an understanding of what you\'re analyzing, the data can appear to tell a totally misleading story. This has given me a passion for deep diving problems, thinking laterally, and using data driven insights to find a creative solution.I\'ve developed expertise in Excel, UKG and Kronos WFM systems. I\'ve utilized AI tools at Amazon to support efficient investigation and presentation.
