About Benjamin Ben Giddens

I am a second-year Law and Public Policy student at the O\'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs with a minor in Political Science, and I am actively seeking internship opportunities!Through my studies and previous job experiences, I have developed strong writing skills, learned to effectively collaborate as part of a team, and stay well-informed about domestic and international current events. I have also learned valuable technology skills as well improving my leadership skills. In my previous internship with the Monroe County Democratic Party, I supported staff with several tasks including: Managing the donation database, creating graphics and presentations, setting up event spaces, as well as organizing my own candidate forum with their support. I was able to work with local leaders and connect with my surrounding community. I look forward to connecting with you!

   Mentored a group of 11 first-year students in the Civic Leaders Center through the transition to college by administering check-ins, acting as a liaison between the students and campus staff, and providing them with campus resources. Co-led the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access Committee that helps to educate students on different cultures and create a more welcoming environment for all.Attended weekly meetings with staff members to gain important knowledge on teamwork and leadership.
