About Benjamin Dille

I am passionate about advancing U.S. interests and values, fostering multi-cultural collaboration, and operating in complex and challenging environments. I have led large and diverse teams, managed substantial budgets and resources, and delivered results in critical situations. I have received multiple awards and honors, including the State Department Award for Heroism for my work at the Kabul Airport in 2021, the American Foreign Service Association\'s Herter Award for Constructive Dissent for work in Kabul, and State\'s 2008 Raphel Award for mentoring. I am also a certified professional coach and a university instructor, with skills in international relations, diplomacy, and multi-cultural management. Currently serving as Professor of Strategic Studies and State Department Chair at the Marine Corps War College, I teach and mentor officers and civilians in the masters of strategic studies program, focusing on diplomacy and statecraft. I draw on my 31 years of experience as a Foreign Service Officer, serving in various regions and roles around the world, and my academic credentials in international and comparative law, European legal studies, and history and international relations.
