About Benjamin Cook
Hey, I am a senior at the University of Tennessee studying Architecture, Journalism and media. I am an aspiring Architect and Journalist. I want to create something with narrative and scope to help the community around me. me a goal purpose it to design something of quality for society to help them. While doing this, I would develop a story about the process and use writing to reflect architecture, bringing back philosophies. Ultimately, I would use like writing and communication background to help the architecture community connect with clients and explain ideas in an easy, more descriptive way so that anyone can understand architecture. It also allowed me to start branding and marketing myself, learning about communication and media outlets, which helped me to create my own website.I have worked and been in the role at- HMD Construction and development - Falconnier Design Company- A secretary of my pledge classWorking and learning from these three things, I have established how an architect works with a contractor and what they do in the process of creating a building on the business side, and frequently using Excel, while shadowing a superintendent and talking with different state-level organizations and groups to help complete and regulate a building. While working at a design firm for a few months, I was able to understand the design process and criticism, and the iterations that you go through in projects. While a secretary, I learned how to remember and record information and write down significant things that are important to what is going on, data management.
