About Benjamin Chauncey Stasa

New technologies spark my interest. This passion shaped my legal career. I guide the development of patent portfolios and manage attorneys tasked with supporting the same. I also opine on infringement, invalidity, and patentability matters, and negotiate and prepare intellectual property related agreements. I further co-manage private funds that provide exposure to the residential real estate market with a focus on capital preservation and stable cash returns. My Ph.D. research interests include artificial intelligence, blockchain, communications, microelectronics, power transmission, quantum computing, and signal processing. Currently, I am investigating application of machine learning to wireless communications and deep learning to vocal pitch tracking. Prior to law school, I spent a number of years engineering automotive components and systems: I have first-hand experience with developing new products. On a personal note, while I prefer playing piano music from the late Classical and Romantic eras (Chopin and Schubert), I prefer listening to choral music from the Renaissance era (Allegri and Tallis) and string music from the Baroque era (Bach, Corelli, and Vivaldi).
