ABOUT BENJAMIN CANIZARES
I am a second-year Honors student at American University\'s School of International Service studying Foreign Policy and National Security, with a minor in Economics. I will be at the London School of Economics as a General Course student in 2026-27. My academic interests center on the relationship between economic policy and national security, spanning foreign policy, defense and security, global governance, and international trade. I am exploring internship opportunities in defense and policy consulting, think tanks, and national security-oriented government roles, with particular interest in economic statecraft and great power competition in the developing world.
