Key responsibilities and impact areas:Produce high-quality threat intelligence reports, briefings, and executive summaries — translating complex threat data into clear, actionable insights for technical teams, security leadership, and C-suite stakeholdersDesign and implement automation and workflow improvements using scripting (Python), APIs, data pipelines, and custom tooling to increase efficiency in threat collection, enrichment, correlation, and disseminationIdentify bottlenecks in existing threat intelligence and security monitoring processes and propose engineering-driven solutions — resulting in faster detection, reduced manual effort, and improved team throughputConsult directly with clients across multiple sectors to understand their threat landscape, risk priorities, and operational constraints, then deliver tailored intelligence products and practical recommendationsCollaborate with security operations, SOC, incident response, and engineering teams to integrate threat intelligence into defensive controls, detection rules, threat hunting, and incident playbooksContinuously track and analyse evolving threats (TTPs, campaigns, vulnerabilities, ransomware, supply-chain risks) across open, deep, and dark web sources to maintain an up-to-date understanding of the adversary landscapeContribute to internal capability development by documenting best practices, creating reusable templates, and helping evolve CGI’s threat intelligence methodology and toolingThis role allows me to bridge the gap between deep technical analysis and real-world business impact — using software engineering discipline to make intelligence faster and more effective, while working closely with clients to solve their pressing security challenges.
