About Benjamin Butensky
I am currently seeking opportunities in communication and business around Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I am currently a Communications major with a focus in Business Administration at the University of New Hampshire. My experiences consist of being a camp counselor at Camp Jori for two summers where I was able to develop my leadership, problem-solving, and other team-building skills through my responsibility of managing a number of teenagers and leading programs on the ropes course. I am currently interning at Cross Roads, where I work with their marketing and development coordinator and others in their business office.

Essential Responsibilities: · Learn about nonprofit fundraising, marketing, event planning, data capture and analysis, and volunteer management by assisting with ongoing projects in a busy development office. · Learn Raiser’s Edge donor management software and assist with donor and volunteer data management including: o Entering constituent profiles, in-kind donations, and volunteer hours. o Utilizing defined criteria to research donor profiles and analyze donor giving history and capacity. · Research and write online marketing content for the agency’s social media platforms, e-newsletter, website, and blog. · Work with development team and an outside marketing agency on the production of print fundraising and marketing materials including the agency annual report, brochures, newsletters, volunteer manual, and gala marketing pieces. · Write agency newsletter articles and agency press releases. · Research grant resources and assist with grant writing efforts. · Assist with facilitation of monthly volunteer orientation and volunteer days of service. · Manage the agency’s adopt-a-family initiatives and document activities. · Work with development team to plan and execute the agency’s annual gala fundraiser. · Collaborate with other staff members and departments to gain a holistic perspective of nonprofit management, culture, and operations.
