ABOUT BEN ERSING

Ben is the founder of 2c9 Ventures, an entrepreneurial acquisition vehicle focused on acquiring and operating a single small business for the long term. Over his career, Ben has worked across a range of operating environments, from owner-led small businesses to private equity - backed companies, as well as large publicly traded organizations and non-profits. He most recently served as a Principal at Cobalt Ventures, the captive holding company of Blue KC responsible for buying, building and investing in healthcare companies. Earlier roles spanned leadership and management across go-to-market strategy, strategic finance, and corporate and business development, with hands-on involvement in product and sales and marketing. Through this work, Ben has hired, managed, and led global teams of up to 25 people, and developed a practical, day-to-day understanding of how organizations operate. He is Kaplan–Norton Balanced Scorecard certified and brings a disciplined execution approach that aligns closely with EOS. Ben lives in Kansas City with his wife, Jennifer, and their two sons, Emmett and Asher. He serves on the board of directors of Hillcrest Covenant Church. When not watching Bluey with his boys, he enjoys skeet shooting, salsa dancing, and the occasional sailing trip.
