As an associate director at AstraZeneca, my drive to transform innovative drug development into tangible clinical applications has led to the successful implementation of a novel MSD assay. This assay is now a standard to monitor a PD biomarker in clinical trials, informing dose-finding and confirming target engagement thus enhancing patient treatment strategies through precision medicine. My experience in translational medicine, is driving my interest towards filling the gap between preclinical research and clinical realities and dissecting drugs MoA and resistance mechanisms. My role has also given me the opportunity to design and analyse data from targeted proteomic assays in clinical samples and lead collaboration with academic partners to monitor and unearth novel pharmacodynamic biomarkers. With a focus on DNA Damage inhibitors, my expertise in mass spectrometry and proteomics serves as the cornerstone of my contributions to the field. The journey through academia and the pharmaceutical industry has shaped a professional ethos centered on curiosity, creativity, and a results-driven approach.
