As liability and property claims handler I support the Clients in all matters related to liability and property claims, including preliminary evaluation of potential claims, notification to the carriers involved, attendance to meetings with surveyors and/or Insurers. I also supervise the evolution of the claims until the conclusion, discussing with Carriers about the correct interpretation of the policy wording and the proper application of policy provisions. I also provide Clients with scheduled claims reports. I am able to meet customer needs and provide exemplary service by informing customers of the claims process and ensuring positive customer experience. I’m familiar with legal aspects of court procedures affecting legal liability for all types of insurance and claims system. My duties include: reviewing and following up claims settlements while updating and documenting system. Assisting clients to evaluate, negotiate and bring claims to a final resolution. Evaluating proper policy coverage and applying the best claims practices to conclude assigned cases in accordance with company guidelines. Keeping abreast of current insurance and applicable products/services, court decisions which may impact the claims function, current guidelines in the claims function, policy changes and modifications. Advising clients about their legal responsibilities. Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management; keeping management and customers informed by regular updating.
