I design and oversee the delivery of the Careers Provision at Aylesford School. As a Level 6 qualified Careers Adviser I also make one-to-one guidance available to all students and meet annually with every Year 11, 12 and 13 student.My role includes- Strategic planning and development of the school Careers Plan- Coordinating provision with external agencies and education providers- Organising frequent trips to workplaces and education institutes- Supporting Year 10 and 12 students to obtain work experience placements- Liaising with Kent County Council regarding destinations data and NEET risk dataMy work has been commended by two successful OFSTED reviews. Comments have included:“The school’s full-time careers adviser is knowledgeable and approachable and is on hand to offer students individual advice.”“Careers education and guidance is a developing strength. Pupils receive specialist input from Year 7 onwards, including.
