Meteorologist providing energy traders with day-ahead and real-time forecasts for temperatures, precipitation, cloud cover, real feel and wind chills for 30 different cities in the PJM, MISO & SPP energy markets - Within 2 years I have taken on the majority of communication responsibility between the Meteorology and Trading teams - Responsibilities include: Bi-weekly meetings with the CEO, Lead for Bi-Weekly Feedback Meetings with the whole trading team, and overseeing all projects within the Meteorology group - Led the 5-month development of a new and advanced in-house wind forecasting tool to provide traders with day-ahead and real-time wind forecasts for PJM, MISO & SPP markets (Jan-May 2022)- Administer verbal solar forecasts for the PJM market - Analyze a variety of long-range patterns to asses impact on the energy grid for as close as 1-week to as long as 6-months out - Proficient knowledge of Tableau - Ability to use SQL, R, & Python on a beginner level basis to incorporate historical meteorological data into the teams\' verification and analog processes - Use Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Word on a daily basis to deliver complex meteorological data to energy traders in a simple, non-scientific manner
