ABOUT BEN COTTRELL

Ambitious second-year engineering student with a passion for innovation and problem-solving. Despite balancing varsity football and track, I have consistently excelled academically. My competitive experience has honed my teamwork, leadership, and communication skills, all of which are transferable to collaborative and goal-driven environments. I collaborated on an award-winning engineering design project, where my team earned recognition for innovation. This experience underscores my ability to think critically, learn rapidly, and execute under pressure. Additionally, I have hands-on experience in marketing and business development, having successfully helped launch LIFT Fitness & Performance in Guelph, Ontario. Through strategic use of social media and networking, I significantly increased brand visibility, foot traffic, and customer retention. As a performance coach with a background in strength training and Olympic weightlifting, I\'ve worked with diverse youth athletes, including NCAA and OHL players, optimizing their performance through tailored coaching programs. Training alongside elite athletes and working with renowned coaches has sharpened my skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving.
