About Ben Chan

I am the Senior Manager of the Credit Data & Infrastructure team at T-Mobile. I\'m a recognized high performer having won many awards at T-Mobile throughout the years, including the most prestigious Peak Award, given only to the top 1% of 1% companywide.     Member of data breach TIGER Team representing finance/credit on forensic data/system investigations, impact analysis, and system gaps. Work with Leadership Team, external consultants, and legal counsel on impact notifications and remediation plans.Sponsor and first business owner to provision Enterprise PaaS cloud data warehouse solution with Snowflake. Architect and drove Credit Snowflake solution, playing a critical part in the design of the TMUS PaaS framework and operating business model. Deliver first of its kind cloud base data warehouse solution to Credit org improving system performance, scalability, and functionality with the ability to interpret semi and unstructured data. Reduced administrative overhead and overall cost. Help solution Snowflake access control, roles, security groups/policies, data share, and data pipelines. Lead and manage data migration from on-prem Oracle data warehouse to Snowflake on Azure. Configure and setup Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines from disparate systems, including Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, Salesforce, SAP, and flat file (csv, JSON…) sources.Data steward and security ambassador responsible for data security and compliance oversight within Credit domain. Ensure system and user adherence to federal and CCPA regulations, including handling and securing of Personal Identifiable Information (PII). Oversee and design Privacy and Compliance processes, monitoring, and user attestation. Implement and build Privacy by Design methodologies.Responsible for credit bureau data archiving strategies, data perseverance and security per federal guidelines.Led the data team in merger efforts, including data share negotiations, infrastructure solutions, and data/reporting support enabling Day 1 strategy alignments. Led Credit efforts in integrating analytical tools, systems, data sources/repositories, and reporting consolidation post-merger. Influential member of Enterprise Analytical systems and post-merger system integrations.
