About Ben Balmages

Ben Balmages is a Director of Asset Strategy in Operations/Finance at Taco Bell. Mr. Balmages is responsible for the corporate restaurant facilities team including in-house maintenance, forecasting all spending, managing capital projects and national rollouts, maintaining vendor relationships, and working with cross functional and field partners to ensure efficient operations. He is also responsible for operations at Taco Bell Cantina restaurants ensuring they open and operate successfully as well as new concept developments, innovation projects, and sustainability team lead.In 2012, Mr. Balmages graduated as valedictorian with his MBA focusing in finance and accounting from UC Irvine\'s Paul Merage School of Business. After graduating, he took the position of Director of Finance at Bootlegger\'s Brewery and helped the company double its sales revenue by securing additional financing, increasing capacity and efficiencies, and opening two new locations. Prior to his MBA, Mr. Balmages spent 7 years working in the real estate industry at Ditech.com/GMAC Mortgage as a Loan Officer and and then Sales Manager where he led a team of 25 to meet various sales and compliance metrics. In addition to his MBA, Mr. Balmages holds a BA degree in Environmental Sciences and Policies from Duke University.Strengths: Data analysis; communication skills; detail-oriented; results driven; excels at working in cross-functional teams.Personal: Ben and his wife and their three daughters live in Tustin, California. Ben wrestled as a youth and in high school and college. He and Mrs. Balmages enjoy (and coach, lead, and attend) their daughters’ many activities including Girl Scouts, softball, basketball, soccer, dance, skiing, swimming, bike riding, and many more.
