Ben is also active in the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association (NRRDA), and the Themis Advocates Group, a national network of preeminent law firms. Ben has been recognized as a SuperLawyers Rising star from 2015 to present. Ben is a founding member of Professionals for Charity (“P4C”), a tax-exempt charity organization started in 2012 to fundraise for Des Moines, Iowa area children’s charities. Also, from 2010 to 2016, Ben was a member of the Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish Iowa. Ben is married to his wife, Leah Weston, a dentist in West Des Moines, Iowa. Ben and Leah have two daughters, Bellamy and Vivienne. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
