My own mental health journey began over 20 years ago when I lost both of my parents to cancer. The grief and isolation culminated with two suicide attempts in 2006. In the years since, I’ve often struggled to communicate what was going on inside my head and the reasons for why I may act a certain way. Looking back, I know that if JAAQ had existed then, it could have changed my life and certainly helped with difficult conversations at work! Today, I’m on a mission to ensure that anyone beginning a mental health journey, for themselves or on behalf of a colleague or loved one, can access the information they need through JAAQ. b••••••••@jaaq.org
