   Working under the mentorship of Dr Daniel Kirchhofer in the Early Discovery Biochemistry division.• Implemented high-throughput peptide and antibody display platforms to discovery functional compounds against protein targets implicated in asthma, SARS-CoV-2 and solid malignant tumors• Lead collaborations building machine learning models to predict peptide sequence binding to a target• Functionalized peptides with chelating ligands to be compatible for radioisotopic labeling for PET imaging studies• Performed enzymatic (fluorogenic substrates, activity-based probes) and biochemical binding techniques (SPR (Biacore), competition immunoassays (ELISAs), ITC and FP) to validate peptide function and determine affinity, potency, and kinetic and thermodynamic parameters • Transiently transfected mammalian cells with HiBiT-tagged receptors to monitor protein cell-surface function• Used cross-coupling and hydrogen-deuterium exchange mass spectrometry techniques to identify protein epitopes involved in binding interfaces• Explored structural techniques (NMR, X-ray crystallography) to understand peptide-protein interactions at the atomic level, and to use structures to rational design improved peptide candidates
