Petroleum Storage Compliance:• Manage compliance program for all of Nicor\'s underground (UST) and aboveground (AST) fuel and lubrication oil storage tanks.• Ensure compliance with Illinois Office of State Fire Marshall, EPA, and local regulations.• Maintain records of repairs and inspections for USTs and ASTs.• Oversee removal of USTs and installation of ASTs.• Write Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans for Nicor Gas facilities• Lead monthly status meetings to track action items related to storage tank maintenance.• Train Nicor staff and contractors on SPCC protocols.Pipeline Construction Environmental Compliance • Manage environmental permitting and oversight of natural gas pipeline replacement projects to ensure compliance with the Federal (USACE), State (NPDES IL10), county, and municipal permitting.• Occasional permitting involving endangered species and cultural resource compliance.• Manage inspection programs for multiple construction projects at a time.• Regulatory agency interfacing, including site inspections and non-compliance reporting.• Manage a team of consultants to efficiently obtain permits across multiple jurisdictions.Greenhouse Gas Reporting:• Report annual greenhouse gas emissions as per the EPA mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP) for the entire Nicor natural gas distribution and storage network.• Collaborate with departments across Nicor to obtain the necessary data.• Train staff on data collection methods.Site Remediation:• Manage the environmental remediation program for Nicor Gas reporting centers.• Manage budgets, contracts, and pay invoices.• Develop sampling and remediation plans.• Report remediation activities to the Illinois EPA.SARA Tier II Reporting:• Manage reporting program of hazardous materials for Nicor facilities across northern Illinois as per EPCRA regulations.• Train local staff on performing onsite inventories.
