As CEO of TechSPARK, I lead the not-for-profit growth network dedicated to making Bristol & Bath one of Europe’s most dynamic and inclusive tech ecosystems. Our mission is to connect, support, and amplify the region’s digital and tech businesses, fostering innovation, talent development, and investment opportunities.TechSPARK engages with over people each month, delivering high-impact events, strategic programmes, and industry insights to help startups, scale-ups, and established businesses thrive.Key Responsibilities & Impact- Building a Connected Tech Ecosystem – Overseeing 80+ annual events, including Bristol Technology Festival, The SPARKies Awards, and Silicon Gorge, creating platforms for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and investment- Championing Talent & Inclusion – Leading skills development and talent initiatives, including our jobs board, training bootcamps, and diversity-focused programmes, ensuring the West of England remains a magnet for top digital talent- Driving Business Growth & Investment – Spearheading the Investment Activator Programme, helping startups and scale-ups access funding by connecting them with regional and national investors- Shaping Industry Insights & Policy – Producing research and insight reports that influence policy, funding, and strategy for the region’s tech sector, ensuring businesses have the data and guidance they need to scale- Strengthening Partnerships & Industry Collaboration – Working closely with government bodies, investors, corporates, and academia to enhance opportunities for innovation, funding, and skills development.Under my leadership, TechSPARK has become the central hub for the South West’s tech economy, creating a thriving, connected, and inclusive ecosystem that fuels innovation and growth.

For over a decade, I’ve been dedicated to growing the UK’s tech and digital economy, helping businesses access talent, funding, and opportunities to scale.As CEO of TechSPARK, I lead the South West’s largest tech network, working with people each month to help startups and scale-ups hire top talent, raise capital, and connect with industry leaders in the UK’s most productive tech cluster.Beyond TechSPARK, I play a national role in shaping the UK’s tech ecosystem: Director, UK Tech Cluster Group (UKTCG) – Supporting regional tech clusters, influencing national policy, investment, and innovation programmes to ensure all UK regions benefit from the country’s tech growth. Director, UK Cyber Cluster Collaboration (UKC3) – Driving the growth and resilience of the UK’s cyber security sector, fostering collaboration between businesses, government, and academia. Co-Founder, Bristol Tech Festival – Helping build one of the UK’s most exciting celebrations of tech, innovation, and digital skills.Experience in Investment & International GrowthPrior to TechSPARK, I worked in international business consultancy, supporting organisations expanding across global markets.
