ABOUT BEN SCHMALENBERG

Ben is a consultant in EY\'s Technology Consulting practice, bringing valuable expertise since 2021. He began his career as a Functional Analyst for the ERP implementation of Yardi, a specialized solution for a Real Estate Investment Fund. In this role, Ben was responsible for collecting and analyzing business requirements, collaborating with the Yardi team to identify gaps and matches, and leading the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing. Additionally, he developed comprehensive training curricula and materials, trained the client trainers, and managed Hypercare by leading triage calls during both UAT and Hypercare phases to address any issues promptly. His experience as a business analyst laid a strong foundation for his subsequent advancement into more complex project leadership roles.Ben has also worked in a variety of capacities, including contributing to a PMO for a large-scale SAP transformation, engaging in short business transformation projects for a bank, and executing a brief training project for a mining client. These diverse experiences have enriched his skill set and broadened his understanding of different industries.As a Data Delivery Manager for an airline, Ben manages the product backlog and leads a diverse group of data experts—including data analysts, data engineers, data modelers, a tech lead, an architect and QA testers. He effectively engages the team to maximize efficiency, escalates and mitigates risks, and provides regular status updates to client executives.
