Responsible for 5 group wide technology controls, Lead Risk and Control automation that has been organically grown. • Risk and Control Lead for Enterprise Infrastructure Platforms managing issues, control adherence, audits, management reporting and risk transformation. Lead a team of 25 across 4 countries which has included establishing a new structure to bring together siloed functions to create a cross functional team focused on data, outcomes and improving risk. Embedded a model to balance business as usual (BAU) delivery, initiatives across the lines of defence and establishing a transformative roadmap for the controls to improve efficiency and operation. Managed controls that were categorised as ‘needs improvement’ through to ‘effective’ controls, including critical controls such as patch management that moved from a negative reporting position to a materially improved, sustainable state.Developed expertise across infrastructure security controls and lead the design and operation of key controls such as configuration and patch management. Have also demonstrated the ability to expand the scope of the controls, reduce risk and automate key processes. Led multiple responses to audit and worked closely with colleagues in second line to articulate risk management as well as how we design and operate controls effectively. Self-identified opportunities for transformation including: Identified a gap in Technology wide reporting and created a dashboard in less than 2 months. Establishing a proposition for controls operation tooling to transform individual controls across R&C.
